The FREMAP Hospital in Majadahonda has obtained certification AENOR UNE 179003 Risk Management for Patient Safety, a recognition that accredits the entity's commitment to quality care, continuous improvement and patient safety. This achievement is the result of more than a year of work, analysis, implementation of improvements and active participation of professionals from different areas of the hospital.

The UNE 179003 standard establishes the requirements for identifying, evaluating and managing risks associated with healthcare, promoting a safety culture aimed at minimizing incidents and strengthening the quality of care processes. This certification represents significant support for the management model developed by FREMAP and the efforts of its teams to provide safe, efficient, and people-centered care.

To mark this certification, an institutional award ceremony was held at the FREMAP Hospital in Majadahonda, with representatives from AENOR and FREMAP participating.

Representing AENOR were Pedro Fernández, director of the Central Region, and Carolina Soto, manager of Health and Healthcare at AENOR.

Participating on behalf of FREMAP were Ignacio García Delgado, Deputy General Medical Director, Braulio Garrido Pasadas, Director of the Hospital System, Susana Velasco, Area Medical Manager, Isabel Cristóbal, Specialist Physician, Javier Parro, Physiotherapist and Ana Leiva, Documentalist.

During the meeting, attendees highlighted the work done to strengthen risk management, consolidate the patient safety culture, and continue moving towards the highest standards of healthcare excellence.
