FREMAP participated in the 15th National and International Congress and 3rd Ibero-American Congress of Social Work, held in Gijón, a benchmark event that brings together social professionals to share knowledge, experiences and advances in the profession.
FREMAP’s presence has helped to highlight the role of Social Work within its integrated care model, in which the recovery of the worker is not limited to the healthcare sphere, but also addresses the social, emotional and occupational dimensions arising from loss of health. This approach positions Social Work as a key pillar in supporting individuals throughout their recovery process.
During the Congress, FREMAP’s Social Work team actively participated in presentation sessions, sharing their experience and showcasing their intervention model in highly relevant areas, such as psychosocial care in emergencies resulting from workplace accidents.
In this context, the specific psychosocial intervention protocol developed by FREMAP was highlighted, aimed at providing a structured and specialised response to highly complex situations. This model allows support to be provided both to affected individuals and to their families and employers, offering assistance, guidance and coordination in particularly critical moments.
The Congress also provided a space for the exchange of knowledge and best practices with professionals, organisations and sector representatives at national and international level, helping to strengthen institutional collaboration and continue advancing towards continuous improvement in social intervention.
FREMAP’s participation in this event reaffirms its commitment to promoting Social Work, generating shared knowledge and developing a rigorous, innovative and people-centred professional practice.
This presence consolidates the value of Social Work as an essential element in advancing towards a fairer, more balanced society committed to wellbeing and social rights.
