The FREMAP Special Benefits Commission approved a total of 420 special benefits during the first half of 2026, amounting to 1,506,540.46 euros, intended to respond to situations of need arising from work accidents and occupational diseases.

These benefits contribute to improving the quality of life, promoting personal autonomy, and supporting recovery, adaptation, or professional reorientation processes for the protected individuals.

Of the total benefits granted, 205 were aimed at recovery and health, facilitating financial support for companion expenses in hospital admissions and medical consultations.

In the area of ​​autonomy and daily life, 46 benefits were approved aimed at promoting personal independence through prostheses and technical aids not included in the common portfolio of services, home support and home adaptation.

In addition, 37 grants were aimed at improving mobility, including the acquisition and adaptation of vehicles and the adaptation of essential means for the development of basic daily life activities.

Training and career reorientation accounted for 76 services, aimed at facilitating new job opportunities through training programs, scholarships and career reorientation processes.

Meanwhile, 56 grants were awarded for other personal and family needs, including the maintenance of the usual residence, supplements to the death benefit or training actions for the care of people in a situation of great disability.

June saw the highest activity of the semester

During the month of June, the highest volume of activity of the period was reached, with 122 benefits granted and a total amount of 410,720.78 euros.

Beyond the figures, these benefits represent FREMAP's commitment to people going through particularly complex circumstances as a result of a work accident or occupational disease.

Each form of assistance addresses a specific need and can contribute to regaining autonomy, adapting the personal environment, coping with daily difficulties, or facilitating access to new professional opportunities.

In this context, the work carried out by the Social Work Area is fundamental, providing support, guidance and individualized assessment to identify the most appropriate response to each situation.
