This course consists of two training modules, each lasting five months, which can be taken independently or together. For better job prospects, it is recommended to complete the training in its entirety.

Throughout the course, students will acquire both traditional and digital knowledge, learning to work with wood, operate specialised machinery, and develop projects using Autodesk tools, from design to manufacturing.

Objectives

  • To learn about wood, both solid and manufactured.
  • To operate hand tools, portable machinery and industrial machinery, as well as the products and materials specific to the trade.
  • To create plans, views, presentations, and storyboards using Autodesk tools.
  • Apply Autodesk knowledge to real projects, creating designs and models that will be manufactured a using a router or CNC machine.
  • To assemble and install all types of furniture.

Introduction to Joinery and Certificate of Professional Standards MAMA0209

  • Wood technology.
  • Technology of workshop tools and products needed in the manufacture and finishing of furniture.
  • Use of hardware, chemicals and furniture accessories.
  • Knowledge and application of current health and safety regulations.
  • Adjustment and packing of furniture and carpentry elements.
  • Assembly and installation of carpentry and joinery elements, such as furniture, flooring, doors, windows, built-in wardrobes, etc.

 

Design, analysis and manufacturing with AUTODESK INVENTOR CMAD/CAE/CAM module

  • Design and interpretation of plans.
  • Autodesk Inventor furniture design.
  • Manufacture by numerical control.

Professional departures

  • Manufacture and assembly of carpentry and joinery products.
  • Design of furniture and carpentry elements.
  • Warehouse and DIY: packer / packager / labeller.
  • Maintenance.
